A key enabler of this transformation are Battery Energy Storage Systems or BESS’s, which absorb imbalances between intermittent renewable production and fluctuating consumption and pave the way towards a cleaner, electric future.

Cactos is Finland’s market leader in industrial-scale BESS, with over 300 sites installed and operating across the country. In early 2025, we completed our first grid-scale project in the Pirkanmaa region. Since then, several projects have reached commercial operation and we have a robust pipeline of 20+ sold projects under our belt. To meet growing demand and better structure sales for gridscale BESS, we are now looking to strengthen Cactos' commercial team.

About the Role

As Business Development Manager, Gridscale, you will play a pivotal role in further accelerating the sales of Cactos Nevado, a BESS platform designed for installations in the range of 2 to 10 MVA. You will handle inbound inquiries and discover opportunities worth pursuing, actively prospect new customers, and leverage your network to identify new opportunities. You will help customers navigate the different phases of complex sales cycles, from initial discussions until successful closure. Along the way, you will orchestrate the work of Cactos and third-party experts required to permit projects, manage contractual risks and complete various sidequests thrown at you by local authorities. You will own and continuously develop sales processes best suited for gridscale projects.

What We’re Looking For

We expect you to have relevant experience in the energy industry, a proven track record of successfully closing deals worth over 1 MEUR, a strong drive to create tangible results, enthusiasm for independent prospecting, strong relationship-building skills, an eye for detail in customer communications and CRM data management alike, and a passion to learn from and shape this rapidly evolving industry. Additionally, experience in project development, or alternatively existing networks and deep understanding of relevant industrial sectors such as logistics, ports, or heavy manufacturing are clear advantages. You are fluent in English, preferably in Finnish and ideally also in Swedish. You are socially skilled and enjoy working in close collaboration with colleagues at the office - presumably in Vallila, Helsinki, or alternatively in Kempele. Expect occasional travel within Finland, the Nordics and the Baltics.

Cactos BESS units are manufactured at the Kempele factory, based on proprietary battery module technology, while all necessary software is developed in Helsinki, which is also home to the domestic sales team. The broader commercial team extends to the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, and Estonia.
